Bill Fuson lives in Wilmington, DE and is retired from E.I. DuPont Co. He is a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, where he serves on the finance committee and church council. Bill is also engaged with two other Lutheran non-profit organization in Wilmington.
His involvement with LVC began in 2005, when he and wife Nancy were a host family for one of Wilmington’s volunteers. Based on this experience, they developed a passion for LVC’s values, it’s work in the community and LVC’s impact on the volunteers lives. Bill and Nancy continue as a host family and are active on the local support committee. In addition to local involvement, Bill has previously served 6 years on LVC’s Board of Directors (2007 – 2013) during which he served 3 years as Board Chair. Bill will complete his current term in August 2019.
After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Missouri, Bill enjoyed a 36 year career with the DuPont Company. Most of his career was spent in development of industrial packaging containers for shipment of DuPont’s products to their customers. In his last 10 years, Bill was one of DuPont’s Package Procurement Mangers, where he lead the combined effort of packaging development and procurement strategies on a global bases for specific package materials.
Bill’s hobbies includes international travel, as well as visiting all 50 states, a passion for Lionel trains, and building an extensive model railroad in his basement. In addition, he enjoys selecting and planting several hundred flowers each year to enhance the landscaping of their home
