Carrie CarrollVice Chair
Carrie and her husband Pete live with their two daughters, Anna and Emma in White Bear Lake, MN. They are members of St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Mahtomedi. Carrie has worked in Higher Education for the past seventeen years. Currently, she serves as the Vice President of Enrollment and the Dean of Students at Luther Seminary in St. Paul. Prior to Luther, Carrie worked at Augsburg College. Carrie also serves on the board of the Hawkinson Foundation, an organization that recognizes student scholars and lifelong achievement in peace and justice.
Carrie received her BA from Hamline University and her MA in Leadership from Augsburg College. She is a Qualified Administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory. As a QA, she has consulted with the Minneapolis Synod and the Mission Developers of the ELCA. She serves on the Journey into Inclusive Community (JIC) committee of LVC.
Carrie first learned of LVC while working at Augsburg. She was intantly impressed by the organization and the Volunteers. While at Luther, she has had the opportunity to meet many of the Volunteers at their annual orientation. She states, “I love seeing the commitment to social justice lived out by the Volunteers. I learn so much from them and from the students of Luther and Augsburg about how to live a life committed to social justice.”
