A graduate of St. Olaf College and Luther Seminary (M.Div.), Elizabeth is an LVC alumna from 2002-2004 at the Minnesota Council of Churches – Refugee Services. Prior to joining LVC, Elizabeth served as Project Coordinator at the Global Mission Institute and Cross-Cultural Education offices at Luther Seminary. In her work at LVC, Elizabeth enjoys using her gifts of hospitality, networking and administration to support and grow opportunities for LVC volunteers, placements, alumni and supporters to pursue peace with justice.  …

As a graduate of Wittenberg University, he has focused his career on advocacy for under-resourced and new immigrant communities. Tait completed his year of service with LVC in 1998 in Baltimore, Maryland and moved to the Twin Cities of Minnesota where he spent another year becoming an ACORN trained community organizer.…

Originally from Wyoming, Erika Dornfeld spent high school in rural north Idaho before attending Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA. There she earned a BS in Biology, while minoring in both Religion and Publishing and Printing Arts. In 2009, she moved to the Midwest to do LVC in Chicago. After volunteering with LVC for two years in Chicago at an interfaith environmental organization, she attended the University of Chicago Divinity School.…

Scott Glaser is an alumni of the Urban Servant Corps in Denver, Colorado. He spent twenty years working in nonprofit work in Colorado after completing his year of service. His most recent position was as Executive Director of NAMI Colorado before moving to Nebraska in 2016 and joining the Lutheran Volunteer Corps.

Ms. Hamre provides accounting and financial services for nonprofit organizations, including a performing arts center, a youth orchestra, a program for victims of domestic abuse, a small trade association and its related foundation, an Indian dance company, a program for at-risk youth, Luther Place Church (founder of LVC), and of course, LVC.  She has also held leadership positions in several of these organizations. …

Nathan grew up in West and Southern Africa and attended St. Olaf College where he studied French, Political Science, and Philosophy. He is passionate about racial justice and peacebuilding and facilitated anti-racism workshops and dialogue groups while at St. Olaf. After college, he was an LVCer in Washington, DC and worked with ELCA’s Advocacy office in Washington, DC before joining LVC.…

After college, she participated in another volunteer year with the Church of the Saviour in Washington, DC prior to joining LVC.

Keithlee is a queer white midwesterner hailing from St. Louis, Missouri. Recently, Keithlee has worked as a high school teacher at a radical Quaker semester school in California, a community educator at an urban farm in Detroit, a community mapper in DC, and as a pastoral caregiver for young adults all over the country. After living in four different cities in three years, they relocated to DC to work as an advocate on issues of immigration reform and prison abolition in 2015 and never left.…
