Deirdre brings to LVC experience in and a deep passion for critical pedagogy and social justice education. Deirdre completed a Master of Arts in Religion and Theology (2005) and a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Leadership for Antiracism Witness (2011) at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities. Deirdre has worked for and with a broad range of academic, community, and faith-based organizations, including HECUA, Center for Global Education at Augsburg College, University Baptist Church, Baptist Peace Fellowship of North America, Plymouth Center for Progressive Christian Faith, and Wilder Research. Many of Deirdre’s most transformative life experiences have coincided with her travels. While a student at United Theological Seminary and Saint Olaf College (1997), Deirdre spent time learning and living in England, Latvia, Norway, Guatemala, Colombia, Ecuador, Japan, Nicaragua, Mexico, and the Philippines. She is also privileged to experience daily transformations within her own interfaith home, raising two Jewish sons with her longtime partner.
