Keithlee SpanglerProgram Manager – DE/MD, they/them/theirs
Keithlee is a queer white midwesterner hailing from St. Louis, Missouri. Recently, Keithlee has worked as a high school teacher at a radical Quaker semester school in California, a community educator at an urban farm in Detroit, a community mapper in DC, and as a pastoral caregiver for young adults all over the country. After living in four different cities in three years, they relocated to DC to work as an advocate on issues of immigration reform and prison abolition in 2015 and never left. Keithlee approaches their work from a place deeply rooted in community building, collective liberation, and equity. They’re excited to join LVC and work with other communities of faith in service of social justice. Keithlee is committed to anti-oppression work, community accountability, and strengthening solidarity economies. They are experienced in training organizers in consensus process, facilitation, and disability justice. Keithlee finds joy in sprouting seeds, fermenting vegetables, romping around in the woods with their dog, and listening to podcasts about spirituality.
They graduated from Truman State University in northeastern Missouri with a degree in environmental ethics and outdoor education.
