LVC17 Volunteer Spotlight: Jenn Tapler

Jenn (second to the right) with Ella Baker housemates Jenn Tapler, an LVC17 Volunteer originally from Maryland, is serving this year in the Bay Area with Rental Assistance Disbursement Component (RADCo) at Eviction Defense Collaborative. The primary focus of the Eviction Defense Collaborative’s work is to prevent homelessness by keeping current tenants housed, while RADCo specifically grants loans to tenants who owe rent. LVC16 Volunteer Spotlight: Gabrielle and Bianca Bryant

Gabrielle and Bianca Bryant are current West Coast LVCers and sisters finishing up their year this week. Gabrielle served this year as a Rehabilitation Counselor in the residential program at Transitional Resources – a mental health center that serves people living with severe mental illnesses in Seattle, WA. “My time spent at Transitional Resources demonstrated the importance of mental healthcare. Bay Area LVCer Eleanor Nolan is working for the Disability Rights and Education Defense Fund in Berkeley, California.
