Make a Donation to Partner with LVC in 2026!

The Lutheran Volunteer Corps follows a refreshingly simple mission statement and an incredibly ambitious dream: that ALL people could unite to work for peace with justice.

That’s not a platitude to us. It is a moral and ethical imperative to ensure that our local social services, nonprofit organizations, and university initiatives have the capacity and the experienced talent to provide essential services to our neighbors in need.

The Fellows’ Stipend Impact Fund for Life and Learning is especially to pay the $275 monthly stipend of each of our Fellows.

That means that LVC will need to raise almost $60,000 to support our current class of Fellows throughout 2026!

Donate Stock

Stock donations are not difficult! Contact your broker to request the transfer of your stock asset and notify LVC that you are initiating the donation.

  1. You initiate stock donations.  LVC cannot request that your broker or institution make the transfer, nor can we complete the form for your request.  Ask your broker for a “transfer of stock assets” form.
  2. Complete your broker’s form, and submit it to your broker to transfer your (stock) asset to LVC.  For the form, you’ll need LVC’s bank’s DTC code (0226), and you’ll need to contact LVC for our bank account number.
  3. When your institution transfers the stock, it will appear on LVC’s broker’s statement without the donor’s name attached. We’ll need a copy of your broker’s statement to confirm that the stock donation we received is from you/the donor.
  4. Expect a few communications with LVC to confirm each step is complete.
  5. You will receive an end-of-year acknowledgment letter for your donation (typically in February of the following year), just like you would for cash donations.
