Wilmington Bowl-a-thon 2020 Canceled
And you can still DONATE NOW. Make sure you add your city and state to your donation, and we’ll be able to tally our Delaware supporters.
Every year, we gather for our annual fundraising bowlathon. This year due to the health crisis we will not be able to come together as usual. Yet the need remains to continue to support the operations of LVC. Our volunteers are on the front line working in organizations helping during the coronavirus emergency.
You can help. If you normally come or contribute to the bowlathon, we ask that you consider providing support as if we were still gathering together. You can donate online or send checks made out to Lutheran Volunteer Corps, 1226 Vermont Ave NW, Washington, DC 20005 (indicate Wilmington โBowlathonโ support). Tell a neighbor or friend about the work of LVC. Thank for continuing to support LVC.
Founded in 1979, Lutheran Volunteer Corps offers individuals a year of living and working in service to others. Volunteers work for social justice, live in intentional community, and practice a sustainable and simplified lifestyle as they put faith into action. Over 200 Lutheran Volunteer Corps participants have worked in Wilmington since 1982, serving for one year with a local nonprofit organization. Current and past placements include Ministry of Caring, Corner West CDC, Delaware Nature Society, Habitat for Humanity, Lutheran Community Services and Hilltop Lutheran Neighborhood.
