When you go looking for a place to spend a year of service, where you’ll live in community with people you don’t know, exploring social justice — you might hesitate and try to read between the lines, wondering how you’ll fit in, speculating on whether people will make you feel strange or like an outsider for just being you.

At LVC, we expect for you to come open to learn and grow. You’ll find members who self-identify as Queer (50%), BIPOC (20%), religious or non-religious, or a host of other identities, all which vary from one year to the next. Everyone is discerning their life paths and pathways just like you.
