MARIE RUZEK, BETH SHALOM HOUSE, FY97/98:Marie worked at Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity during her transformational year with LVC, which influenced her career trajectory into 25+ years working in the nonprofit sector. She describes herself as a lawyer, mom, wife, friend, reader, learner, dot-connector, giver, yogi, podcaster, home cook, and an eater. Marie and her husband, Jon, are the parents of two teenage boys on the autism spectrum. They are active volunteers in the community.In her current primary job, Marie is an experienced philanthropy advisor dedicated to advancing philanthropic initiatives for the greater good. She is a facilitator for Board and Family governance, including multi-generational philanthropy. She is skilled in building relationships, leading complex projects to successful outcomes, values-based planning and implementation, people & project management, public speaking, and working collaboratively with team members and across organizations.This year, she followed a lifelong hobby/obsession in the nutrition and self-improvement space and founded Marie Ruzek Coaching, a holistic health and nutrition coaching practice.
