
Residential Aides tend to the daily needs of the residents; personal care, medication
administration, emotional support;perform/assist the residents in activities of daily living, such as housekeeping,cooking, and laundry; maintain an orderly,
hospitable, and home-like environment; provide emotional support to families and
friends of people living with AIDS; provide guidance for community volunteers to assist with the above responsibilities; work five eight-hour shifts on a rotating basis—not to exceed 40 hours/week—including evenings,holidays and weekends; work under the direction of the Program Manager NOTE: This is not a medical position.
AIDS Interfaith Residential Services (AIRS) is a private, non-profit agency, which provides comprehensive supportive housing services to enhance quality of life, emphasizing self-sufficiency for low-income and homeless individuals and families living with or at risk of HIV/AIDS and other disabilities. AIRS began with The Don Miller House Program, a residential program providing 24-hour care to individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Since 1987, when AIRS was founded, the Don Miller House has been home for more than 100 people living with HIV/AIDS.
