November News: 40th Anniversary Alumni Survey

Calling all LVC Alumni – Lutheran Volunteer Corps
will soon celebrate
40 Years of Service!

In 1979, 17 volunteers inaugurated the LVC program. During that first year, the framework for LVC was developed, which has continued since. LVC has become “a year of service, a lifetime of commitment,” and is based on Micah’s biblical question: “And what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:9).

Since then, over 2700 volunteers have served in various non-profit service organizations, churches, and other social justice organizations. As we look to the future of LVC we have much to be thankful for and much to celebrate. Please click the button below to take this alumni survey to help us plan for LVC’s 40th Anniversary. The 2019-2020 year will be our 40th anniversary and we hope to both celebrate our past and look forward to our shared future uniting people to work for peace with justice. It’ll take less than five minutes.

The 2019-2020 year will be our 40th anniversary and we hope to both celebrate our past and look forward to our shared future. As LVC staff members prepare we need your help to do the following:

  1. Please update your current information so that we can include you in any future planned celebrations.
  2. Help us get in contact with your former housemates for the reason stated above.
  3. Let us know if you are interested in helping us with creating events in the future.
  4. Start telling other alumni, friends, and family that LVC will be celebrating 40 years.

Thank you for being such important members of our community – we can’t wait to reconnect with you all again!
