WASHINGTON, DC, September 24, 2018 — After a nationwide search, Lutheran Volunteer Corps (LVC) announces the appointment of its new president, Deirdre Bagley.  Bagley joined LVC for its annual National Orientation and board meeting in Chicago, in August, to transition into the role, which begins officially on October 1. My name is Ahna, and I live in one of the D. C. houses: Junia. It is located in the Petworth neighborhood and it is called home by three Lutheran Volunteers and three Loretto Volunteers. At National Orientation, our LVC leaders succeeded in preparing us for the challenges of communal living.  As a house, Redeemer spent hours considering our communication styles, our conflict resolution skills, and the goals and expectations we had for ourselves.  However, nothing could have prepared us for just how much fun we would have!
