LVC launched new ways to serve in 2020. In addition to its legacy program — the in-person Year of Service — Fellows can serve virtually from home or LVC housing, for full-year or half-year, or other flexible arrangement agreed to with a Placement. FLEX Semester participants receive a stipend and health insurance (if needed); and participate with year-fellows in monthly Program Days, retreats, and other learning activities to bring together academic and practical social justice experiences with real-world issue discussions. It’s a challenge that involves an understanding of my mindset: what I most commonly accept as ‘normal’ and why. Living in community with intentional values and goals has allowed me to better understand how I can justly engage in our worldRead More →
